Pulled Pork

We combined both kids’ birthday party this year. It was very convenient for everyone instead of doing 2 different parties in 2 weeks. Since the same people are invited both times, combining ment I only had to come up with one awesome allergy-free meal.

This recipe came from my sister-in-law’s father-in-law (did you follow that?). He’d made the pulled pork for my brother-in-law’s graduation. It was quite good and way easy to make which made it perfect large party food.

Here’s what you need:

Pork Butt Roast

Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce

Famous Dave’s Dry Rub

Directions:

Cover the pork roast with Famous Dave’s Dry Rub. Put a little Sweet Baby Ray’s on the top of the roast. Don’t add any extra liquid as there will be enough moisture from the meat. Cook in crock pot on low for 10-12 hrs. The pork is done when it easily pulls apart with a fork. After its done cooking, take it out of the crock pot and pull it apart. Then place it back in the crock pot, add some BBQ sauce and keep it warm. If you are going to eat it right away, you can skip putting it back in the crock pot. We also had the remaining BBQ sauce sitting out so people can add to their sandwiches.
